probably no one will see this comment but i find this really frustrating. i want to follow a tutorial from start to finish exactly as the video maker does... and the first thing they do every time is open a massive folder of samples that i dont have!!! how am i meant to follow this? i am a total beginner at ableton and these videos always assume that i have an extensive selection of samples dude i have NO SAMPLES

not gonna sound good unless you do a static mix meaning, take off all effects and adjust each track volume, take out harsh Ts and S’s , remove breaths , your record should sound good without effects, your job after is to clean it up and sauce it (great video just thought I’d add my 2 cents lol)

I worked with so many microphones, U87, C414, Cheap Oktava, or expensive Telefunken, Rode K2, but now I have the NT1 for my own use and have been thinking about buying some tube microphone, Pure Tube or something similar. But, they are all the same in a sense that I always get the same results. If I want this U87 sound, I use the NT1 and add transformer saturation and an EQ, and here it is. Even the U87, I do not like it and never leave it as it is, always doing some processing, often to make it unrecognisable, so really I wonder why to have a better microphone than the NT1 unless there is a need to impress a client.

Hi Reid , can I ask you something on behalf of all us Dj’s that do club sets and like to use tunes from vinyls we used to rinse out decades ago from our racks . Obviously as tech has progressed and now our cd decks play digital formats there’s a big difference in what a .wav from a vinyl we recorded and ram thru wavelab pro restore rig , got a nice Level/LUFS n maybe put a plug-in like Gem overloud dopamine on enhance n had a little tweak before we exported it and the sound of a real .wav direct from the studio . Tunes got mastered differently for a vinyl press by a pro to get it right etc … im clueless but I guess as it couldnt handle as much bass/wide fields/got shelved at 16k and had to sound good coming from a silly stylus and rca turntable or whatever. I know there’s no magic formula to use on every tune as there are so many differences/variables but is there some kind of basic 101 start off point things you would do to a house track from a vinyl ( maybe a cut for mud - a deharsh 4K band on Pro Q3 or some Eq - a fix for them harsh highs n sib’s that screech once they get on the big club systems - an approx Hz you would mono the low end from - maybe a way to separate the mid band of the song to widen the stereo field - add a little air or brightness/Sheen without making the screech worse as we have no clue if it’s coming from mid or side or what by looking at a wav we recorded off a 1210 lol ). Honest brother nobody I’ve seen has posted anything ever to help us with this and I’ve always searched for help that is not some silly bedroom engineer who’s advice is to upload it to some crummy online auto master site that just makes it louder 🤦‍♂️ , I know it’s probably a headache subject or tricky but there’s millions of us out there playing a million shows on 20k rigs and speakers and I know we’d all be so grateful even if you can show us the smallest way to professionally enhance the recordings up ….. we can’t afford a pro remaster engineer for every song thats never gonna be done and released digitally as we got thousands of vinyls. They will never be as powerfull and spectacular as a studio digital new wav but any nicer sound you could help get would be the greatest help ever in the world to millions of us . Thanks for all the best content and tips over the years , you truly are the realest puppet in the game 🫡.

Do not buy any of those products there made with really cheap copper will scuff your xlr cables and the inside of the cable and will cause cracking and non stop static trust me I use to think they were good but no no I use audio mixers now for my content creation , mic talks , discords etc the audio mixers were the best choice a specially the Behringer XENYX 802USB

Feel like this plugin should only be used with 100% mix in most circumstances otherwise I imagine you’re gonna run into phase issues
